Family description Campsis.

Campsis (Trumpet vine), is likely to become more popular as the climate becomes warmer, but is still relatively unknown. The plant climbs by means of aerial roots and produces eye-catching red trumpet-shaped flowers through the summer. Requires a sunny position and protection from cold weather during the winter months.

General care.

During early spring, cut back old or dead wood. As new shoots appear, these will require guiding in the desired direction to suitable supports until the aerial roots take hold.
